  • Greater Cincinnati Flying Disc Association (GCFDA) founded 1985

  • Disc golf leagues held regularly since 1986.

    • Held spring and summer each year

    • Fall league held intermittently

    • Handicap team, pro team, mixed couple formats.

  • PDGA Pro Tournaments since 1986

    • Hosted 1988 PDGA (Professional Disc Golf Association) World Disc Golf Championships

    • Hosted 1995 PDGA Amateur World Disc Golf Championships

    • Hosted 1998 PDGA Professional World Disc Golf Championships

    • Edgewood Electric Open - PDGA SuperTour (1989-1998)

    • Remington's Roadhouse Open - PDGA SuperTour (1999)

    • Flying Pig Open - PDGA B-tier (2000-present)

  • Course Challenge Series since 1991

    • Annual series of tournaments at local courses, determines city champion.

  • Promotional and charity events

    • World's Biggest Disc Golf Weekend

      • 2nd largest turnout worldwide in 1993

    • March of Dimes charity event (1999)

  • Responsible for assisting parks with installation and maintenance of local disc golf courses

  • Represents local players interests at the national level to the PDGA.

  • Publicity of disc golf in the greater Cincinnati area

    • Local TV and cable, Enquirer, Post and other area papers

    • Interview appearance on the Weather Channel (2005)

  • Informs players of local and regional events

  • Host DG Clinics for local schools and scouts
